Telegram Messaging Bot
Send anonymous messages via Telegram Bot
Telegram bot overview
Telegram fully supports the use of bots through the Telegram Bot API. Robots can do anything – and they’re only limited by what your imagination can come up with. You can use them to search, send reminders, or integrate with other services. Now there are many applications that support the use of Telegram bots. You can integrate your bot with Plex and receive notifications when family members are playing content or when Plex is down. If you have a Synology device or other NAS device, you can also adjust the settings to send notifications and messages through the Telegram bot API. You can even program your own solution to take advantage of your bot, or use something like PoshGram to integrate with your current workflow.
1. Find BotFather and start a conversation with him
If you’ve never spoken to @BotFather before, just open your contacts and look him up. Then add him as a contact and start chatting with him.
2. Use newbot to have BotFather create your bot
One command is all it takes for BotFather to create a new bot: /newbot
Once you’ve entered that, enter the name of your new bot and the new bot’s username, which must end with the bot. What I usually do is keep these like this:
- Robot name: mytelegram
- Bot username: mytelegram_bot
3. Copy and save the bot token
BotFather will provide you with an access token for your new bot. Copy this and save it in a safe place. You will use this bot token to send messages.
4. Find Your Telegram User ID
